Developer collaboration portal? What developer collaboration portal?
Oh, good, the cat is out of the bag:

http://www.itweek.co.uk/itweek/news/2152913/red-hat-heads-developers

That article talks about a new developer focus from Red Hat.

This is my new gig at Red Hat (sr. developer relations manager), and I'm very excited about it. As Editor-in-Chief of the collaboration portal, my job ranges from content creation/identification and publishing, community building, developer evangelism, and being the project manager for launching and maintaining the portal.

I've held off on doing more announcements until we cemented some platform and taxonomy details and to give me a chance to scratch out some starting processes. Also hard to make a real announcement until I am 100% certain the branding (name, URL, etc.) are real and true.

There are a good amount of initiatives and good ideas being wrapped into this portal. I'll give you one here today you can start with:

If you are a del.icio.us user (and if you aren't, why not?), you can tag any articles, blog entries, individual messages from mailing list archives with the tag 'redhatdevnation'. Like this:

http://del.icio.us/quaid/redhatdevnation

We're going to be feeding content into parts of the portal by interest and technology. For example, an article tagged with 'python redhatdevnation' can be pulled into the portal and parsed out to all Python-related projects. You can make yourelf an editorial contributor without doing anything different than what you do already. :)
